James "Jimmy" Theodore Aloysious Market, III, Esquire, was born July 10, 1980 to James Jr. and Penelope Market in a small town in Ohio. The son of two wealthy real estate investors, Jimmy grew up in modest privilege, athough is family was constantly moving as better investment properties became available.

Jimmy was known as a gifted student and a talented athlete, excelling in both swimming and water polo. In fact, it has been stated by some (especially Penelope) that if Jimmy had not injured his shoulders, he would have been an Olympic potential. After the injury, Jimmy focused more on his studies and was received several scholarship offers.

Rather than following in his parents' footsteps, Jimmy decided to attend a public school in the American Midwest. He developed a taste for collegiate basketball while a student and graduated with a respectable GPA and a liberal arts degree, which upset his parents even further.

After graduation, Jimmy drifted, somewhat listless. He only knew that he had no desire to engage in what he termed the "predatory practices of his forebears" and took a number of odd jobs, never truly committing to anything. Eventually, he settled into banking, which he felt was a step above his parents (but only just a step, mind you). It was there that Jimmy ran into the woman that he would make his wife. Sami was a customer of the small bank Jimmy worked for. At the time, he was introduced to her due to the similarity of their names, as both were Markets. Fortunately for the two of them, there was no relation, and they quickly fell in love and were married in a modest ceremony in Texas, where Jimmy had moved to after graduation.

At one point, Sami decided to drag Jimmy along to Morada, and he rapidly grew fond of the island. While Jimmy was fond of the island, he found it rather poorly-run and was quickly assaulted while he wandered the island. He was able to defeat his attacker, largely through dumb luck, and it triggered something in him. That was Jimmy's first victim, but it was hardly his last.

Now, Jimmy spends most of his time in the wilds of Morada, actively looking for trouble and finding it. He is dressed far too formally for his wandering, typically wearing a very formal suit, but he does not complain about the heat of the humidity. He has found a place where he can be considered a hero for indulging his darker side, and to be honest, it frightens him how much he enjoys it.

Jimmy is also quite fond of cooking and has something of a reputation as a very skilled cook. He prefers to use local ingredients where ever possible and leans towards Southwest, Sudamericano, and Caribbean styles. He intends to open a restaurant on Morada as soon as he is given the chance, but zoning is proving to be problematic at this time.

Physically, Jimmy is nearly six and a half feet tall and has the frame of someone who has rapidly lost quite a bit of weight, although nobody can call him skinny. His hair is either dark blond or light brown and his eyes change colors according to the environment, although he tends to wear colored contacts as something of a joke and a warning. Aside from his suit, which as mentioned runs to the antiquated and formal, he affects a pair of brass goggles that appear to be taken straight out of some novel or the other. His preferred weaponry, for those who care, consists of a pair of cutthroat razors he has collected over the years.
